Cable Car

First Glider
Spread your arms and experience flying like an eagle at an altitude of over 2,000 meters with the First Glider. The ride takes up to four people on a 15-minute long gliding flight over the mountainous landscapes at a speed of 72 - 83 km/hr.

Mountain Cart
‘Sledging on wheels’ is the idea behind Gridelwald’s First Mountain Cart. This all-terrain mountain rider is the perfect combination of a go-kart and a sled. It is specially designed with a low center of gravity to ensure the rider’s safety and comfort, along the 3 Km natural road from Schreckfeld to Bort.

First Flyer

Getting there
By train: You can reach Grindelwald main station by the Bernese Oberland Railway, and then walk along Dorfsrasse to the valley station to take the cable car to Grindelwald-First.
By cable car: At Grindelwald, you can get a First Railway cable car from the valley station in the upper village center, to reach Grindelwald-First. The cable car ride takes almost 25 minutes to reach.
- Do look into the height and weight restrictions on certain rides before planning.
- If planning to try the First Glider, do it in the morning when the crowd is low, as the popular attraction can soon get crowded.
- You may need to use a decongestant nasal spray before the descent to avoid nasal irritation.
